Our Labor Warranty on New Systems

Within the HVAC industry, it is standard practice for heating and cooling system manufacturers to provide homeowners with a ten year parts warranty (with registration) on any new furnace, heat pump, or air conditioner they purchase. In contrast to this, the labor warranty is provided by the HVAC contractor you hire to install the system. This warranty is generally one year in length. We at Overlake Heating and Air Conditioning believe this labor warranty is insufficient given the investment. Because of this, our policy is to provide anyone who purchases an HVAC system from us a three year warranty at no additional cost. The reason we offer this extended labor warranty standard on our new installs is twofold:

1) If your new heating or cooling system should have a part failure after the first year, most contractors will charge for labor to perform a repair. Being consumers ourselves, this doesn’t seem reasonable to us.

2) Additionally, we’ve chosen to assume a greater financial risk by offering the extended labor warranty to communicate to our customers our confidence both in the quality of our work and in the equipment we sell. Your new heating and cooling equipment should give you at least a few years of worry free home comfort.

Our Warranty on Equipment Repairs

If we perform a repair on your existing heating, cooling, or air purifying equipment, you can expect to have it up and running again when we leave your home. In the unlikely event the part we’ve replaced fails again within 30 days of the repair, we will replace it without charge.
