The Trane S8X2 is Trane’s new two stage (i.e., two output), 80% efficient gas furnace. This model operates on low stage most of the time in an effort to improve your home comfort. It accomplishes this by reducing operational noise, helping balance the temperature throughout the home, reducing temperature swings between heating cycles, reducing draftiness, providing cleaner indoor air, and helping preserve the life of the unit with fewer cycles. Also included in this upgraded model is a more electrically efficient blower motor, which will save you money on reduced electricity consumption.
