OVERLAKE’S NEW EQUIPMENT WARRANTY

It is an industry standard practice for equipment manufacturers to provide you with a five year parts warranty on any new furnace, heat pump, or air conditioner you purchase. However the labor portion of your warranty typically comes from contractor you higher to install the equipment. This warranty is generally one year in length. While extended warranties are available from Overlake, we do not feel the industry standard labor warranty is long enough given the investment. Because of this, we give you an additional two years standard on all of our new equipment installations. There is no separate expense despite the warranty's extended length. The reason we offer this extended labor warranty standard on our new installs is twofold:

If your new equipment should have a part failure after the first year, most contractors will charge you labor to perform the repair. Being consumers ourselves, we understand how those few customers who need a repair after the first year feel: “It’s not fair, our equipment is basically brand new!” Most people don't believe being charged to fix their nearly new equipment is very reasonable despite the expired labor warranty. We agree. Who would find it acceptable to have to pay labor to repair a new car after only a single year? While heating and cooling equipment is not nearly as expensive as a new car, it certainly isn't inexpensive.

Secondly, we've chosen to assume a greater financial risk by offering the extended labor warranty. We believe this communicates to our customers our confidence both in the quality of our work and in the equipment we sell. Your new heating and cooling equipment should give you at least a few years of worry free home comfort.

OUR WARRANTY ON EQUIPMENT REPAIRS

If we perform repair on your existing heating, cooling, or air purifying equipment, you can expect to have it up and running again when we leave your home. In the unlikely event the part we've replaced fails again within 90 days of the repair, we will replace it again without charging a second time for it.
