A Step Up From Entry Level

Here in the Northwest where our climate is relatively mild, heat pumps shine. The reason is twofold: heat pumps work well in climates which spend most of the time at temperatures above about 35 degrees fahrenheit. Within this temperature range, heat pumps are significantly more efficient when compared to other forms of central air heating equipment (below 35 degrees, they utilize either a back up gas or electric furnace which reduces the system's overall efficiency). The Preferred series heat pump is a quieter, generally more energy efficient single stage (one heating and cooling output level) unit when compared to the Legacy model. This is our most popular heat pump.
