Bryant Legacy® Series Heat Pump
Bryant’s Legacy series heat pumps incorporate single stage operation (one heating and cooling output level) with the quality engineering known to Bryant for a reliable and affordable heat pump system.
Learn MoreA heat pump is nearly identical to an air conditioner but differs from one by also performing home heating. Homeowners often favor heat pumps over air conditioners because they offer the same cooling while also performing more efficient, greener heating. That said, for most homes, it isn’t feasible to have a heat pump as your only source of heat. Heat pumps don’t generate as much heat as a furnace, so at the coldest outside temperatures, a heat pump generally won’t input enough heat into the home to maintain the thermostat’s temperature setting. A heat pump is meant to be paired with a gas or electric furnace. The heat pump will be the primary source of heat, the furnace the secondary source. The thermostat is programmed to auto-switch between the two, depending on the outside temperature. The heat pump will perform the majority of the heating in a year, with the furnace only heating at the coldest outside temperatures.
We at Overlake Heating and Air Conditioning offer central heat pumps from Bryant, Lennox, and Trane. If you have any questions about heat pumps, please feel free to contact us. We are happy to help!

Bryant’s Legacy series heat pumps incorporate single stage operation (one heating and cooling output level) with the quality engineering known to Bryant for a reliable and affordable heat pump system.
Learn MoreThe Preferred series heat pump is Bryant’s mid efficiency system, offering quieter operation and greater energy efficiency when compared to the Legacy model.
Learn MoreBryant’s Evolution series heat pump is the most energy efficient Bryant heat pump on the market. It utilizes multistage variable speed operation in an effort to increase efficiency, reduce draftiness, minimize equipment and air movement noise, reduce temperature imbalances throughout the home, reduce temperature swings…
Learn MoreThe XB series Trane heat pumps are their entry level systems and their most affordable option. With cooling efficiency as high as 15.50 SEER and heating efficiency up to 8.5 HSPF, this system operates with reasonable efficiency and reliability.
Learn MoreThe XR series heat pumps are Trane’s mid-model systems. Available in single stage or two stage, the XR series heat pumps offer higher efficiency and quieter operation when compared with the entry level units. You can also expect industry leading reliability from Trane systems.
Learn MoreThe XL and XV series heat pumps are Trane’s high end systems. Offered in single stage, two stage, or variable speed, these heat pumps offer the highest in efficiency and the quietest operation. And when paired with the ComfortLink™ II thermostat, it’s all at your…
Learn MoreAmong the pioneers of modern home comfort, no one stands taller than Dave Lennox. Working from his machine shop in Iowa, he single-handedly elevated the American standard of living by building the first Lennox® furnaces.
Lennox’s Merit series heat pump incorporates single stage operation (one heating and cooling output level) with the quality engineering known to Lennox for a reliable and affordable heat pump system.
Learn MoreThe Lennox Elite series heat pump is a quieter, generally more energy efficient model versus its Merit series counterpart. This is our most popular heat pump.
Learn MoreThe Lennox Signature series heat pump is the most energy efficient heat pump Lennox offers. It utilizes multistage variable speed operation in an effort to increase efficiency, reduce draftiness, minimize equipment and air movement noise, reduce temperature imbalances throughout the home, reduce temperature swings between…
